
12 February 2025, Santa Cruz, Occidental Mindoro. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Occidental Mindoro Provincial Statistical Office successfully conducted the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) Community Orientation, Mobile Acceptance of Requests on Civil Registry Documents, and National ID Mobile Registration during the conduct of the Outreach Program in partnership with the Philippine Army - Santa Cruz Bravo Company and other private sponsors. This was held at Dapdap Cultural Elementary School, Barangay Lumangbayan, Santa Cruz, Occidental Mindoro, on February 5, 2025.
BRAP is a nationwide initiative that aims to ensure that all births of Filipinos are registered in the LCROs, particularly in marginalized communities, which serves as a gateway for individuals to claim their social benefits and establish their legal identity. A total of 149 requests for verification of their birth records were collected.
Mobile acceptance of requests on civil registry documents such as birth, marriage, and death certificates, as well as certificates of no marriage (CENOMAR), was served during this activity. A total of 39 requests were collected.
Moreover, the National ID, also known as the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys), aims to provide a valid proof of identity for all Filipino citizens. In this activity, 43 individuals were successfully registered.
