On 11 January 2024, the Philippine Statistics Authority Palawan conducted the 2022 Community-Based Monitoring System Data Turnover Ceremony for the five municipalities of Agutaya, Araceli, Cagayancillo, Cuyo and Magsaysay. Also present in the occassion were Mayor Neri of Linapacan and Executive Assistant Fabellar of Kalayaan which data turnover took place on December 04 and 05, 2023, respectively. Undersecretary Claire Dennis S. Mapa led the ceremony with Assistant National Statistician (ANS) Kristine Joy S. Briones presenting the highlights of the results of 2022 CBMS with focus on selected Sustainable Development Goals for the seven municipalities.
Representatives of the five LGUs, namely Mayor Dela Torre of Magsaysay, Mayor Cudila of Araceli, Mayor Bacuel of Agutaya, Vice Mayor Timbancaya of Cuyo, and Administrator Tapalla of Cagayancillo, delivered messages of acceptance on behalf of their respective municipalities. They expressed gratitude towards PSA for completing the project and for the support extended to them throughout the process. The Planning and Development Coordinators (PDC) also presented their plans and programs for the use of CBMS data in the upcoming years.
Usec Mapa and Governor Socrates Shows the signed Data Sharing Agreement
A Data Sharing Agreement also took place and was signed between the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), represented by Usec. Mapa, and Governor Victorino Dennis M. Socrates for PG-Palawan. The signing ceremonies were witnessed by PSA ANS Briones, MIMAROPA Regional Director Rioflorido, and PSO Palawan Chief Statistical Specialist Rodriguez, along with DICT Provincial Director Pinangay, DILG OIC-Outcome Manager Escaro, and PPDC Vilches.
