07 February 2025 – PUERTO PRINCESA CITY. The Provincial Statistical Office of Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Palawan conducted a training session focused on the tabulation and analysis of the 2022 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) data on February 05 to 07, 2025. Said training was requested by the City Planning and Development Office (CPDO) of Puerto Princesa and took place at Conference Room 2 on of the New City Hall Building in Brgy. Sta. Monica.
Technical personnel of PSA Palawan, Senior Statistical Specialist Jesus Niño M. Sorima and Information Systems Analyst II Reinell L. Manlapaz served as the trainers of the 13 participants from both the Research, Evaluation and Statistics Division, and the Geographic Information System Division.
The training session aimed to equip selected CPDO employees with the skills to utilize indicators that can be derived from the 2022 CBMS data to update the city’s Comprehensive Development Plan. Throughout the sessions, participants learned the basic features of the Census and Surveys Processing System (CSPro) software, including adding value sets in the variables, Tabulation Logics (TabLog), and Post Calculation (PostCalc). Hands-on exercises were also conducted to assess the trainees' understanding of the material.
