25 June 2025 - MUNICIPALITY OF NARRA. In a continued effort to enhance public service delivery and ensure that no senior citizen is left behind, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Palawan, in close partnerships with the Local Government Unit of Narra and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), conducted a focused National ID registration drive at the Narra Municipal Lobby for senior citizens from 19-20 June 2025.

This special initiative aims to assist senior residents in securing their PhilSys National ID, which is now a requirement for availing the Social Pension for Indigent Senior Citizens (SPIC) as stipulated in DSWD Memorandum Circular No. 06, Series of 2025.

The activity underscores the vital role of the National ID as a foundational document in streamlining access to essential government benefits, including the monthly stipend under the SPIC program. The unified identification system not only simplifies verification processes but also enhances transparency and accountability in the delivery of social services.

The PSA Palawan, in coordination with the Local Government Unit and DSWD, has reinforced its partnership to fast-track the identification and registration of eligible senior citizens—ensuring that no one is left behind due to lack of documentation. This unified initiative highlights the collective dedication of the agencies to deliver essential services more efficiently and inclusively, particularly to the vulnerable and underserved sectors of the community. Let us continue working together to build an inclusive and responsive government — one that puts people first and service at the heart of progress.
