04 August 2025 – CALAPAN CITY, ORIENTAL MINDORO. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Provincial Statistical Office of Oriental Mindoro has once again exceeded its target, recording 12,567 successful National ID registrations for the second quarter of 2025 achieving 219.3 percent of its quarterly goal. Of this total, 6,013 individuals, equivalent to 47.85 percent, were issued their National ID in Paper Form (ePhilID), reflecting the PSA’s continued commitment to providing timely and secure identity credentials to the public.

The municipality of Naujan recorded the highest number of registrations in Oriental Mindoro during the second quarter of 2025, with 2,441 registrants, followed by Pinamalayan with 1,954 registrants, and Mansalay with 1,920 registrants. Combined, these three municipalities accounted for 50.3 percent of the province’s total registrations for the quarter. In terms of demographics, 1,276 registrants were children aged 0–4 years, while a significant 11,291 individuals were aged 5 years and above.

The National ID Team credited its outstanding performance to the implementation of strategic and community-based registration methods. The Mobile Fixed Registration Centers contributed 9,801 registrations, accounting for 77.99 percent of the quarterly total, while the Fixed Registration Center handled 2,766 registrations, equivalent to 22.01 percent. The second quarter of 2025 also marked significant progress in reaching priority and vulnerable sectors, with 6,965 beneficiaries of government aid programs successfully registered under the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys). This includes 1,274 registrants from the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) and 5,691 social pensioners.

These figures highlight PSA Oriental Mindoro’s inclusive approach to PhilSys implementation, ensuring that even the most marginalized members of society are not left behind. Building on this strong performance, PSA Oriental Mindoro aims to sustain its momentum in the upcoming quarters by expanding mobile registration efforts, reinforcing partnerships with LGUs, and broadening its reach into geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas (GIDAs).

The agency continues to encourage unregistered individuals to visit Fixed Registration Centers or stay informed about upcoming mobile registration activities in their respective barangays.
