The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Marinduque has successfully completed its data collection from local government units (LGUs) for the estimation of the province’s Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP). The data collection, which ran from February 1 to March 31, 2025, covered all six LGUs in Marinduque and involved gathering key economic indicators.

Among the data collected were Annex 1 on the revenue of establishments, Annex 2 on the list of local government construction projects, Annex 3 on the inventory of government human resources, and Annex 4 on designated focal persons for the Provincial Product Accounts (PPA). These datasets are crucial for assessing the province’s economic performance and formulating data-driven development policies.

In addition to LGU-provided data, PSA Marinduque also conducted supplementary collection for hard indicators from various agencies, including the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Marinduque Electric Cooperative (MARELCO), Maynilad Boac, the Land Transportation Office (LTO), and MSGEE for stone quarrying. Data from solar panel installers were also gathered to measure the province’s shift towards renewable energy.

The completion of the data collection phase marks a significant step in ensuring accurate and comprehensive economic reporting for Marinduque. PSA Marinduque extends its sincere appreciation to all LGUs, government agencies, and private sector partners for their cooperation and commitment to providing accurate and reliable data.
