11 February 2025 – PUERTO PRINCESA CITY. In connection with the celebration of the 35th Civil Registration Month (CRM), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) of Palawan conducted an Infographics Training and Infographics Making Contest for Local Civil Registry Office Staff on 04 February 2025.

Statistical Specialist II Maylyn Q. Villegas and Statistical Analyst COSW John Paul G. Davila served as resource speakers for the training.  The topics discussed were Data Visualization using Infographics, Introduction to Infographics, and Introduction to Canva.

The Infographics Making Contest was participated by a total of 19 representatives  from the LCRO’s of Aborlan, Agutaya, Balabac, Bataraza, Brooke's Point, Busuanga, Coron, Culion, Cuyo, Dumaran, Kalayaan, Magsaysay, Narra, Quezon, Rizal, Roxas, San Vicente, Sofronio Española, and Puerto Princesa City.

The panel of judges were former Chief Statistical Specialist Maria Lalaine M. Rodriguez , Officer-in-Charge Donna Marie D. Mobe and Senior Statistical Specialist Jesus Niño M. Sorima of PSO-Palawan.

Ms. Joelyn Joy F. Cabahug of LCRO Brooke's Point (92.00%) won the first place followed by Ivy Melancheolle D. Cantuba of LCRO Quezon (88.33%) for second place and Ms. Lyka M. Rodriguez of LCRO Coron (87.67%) for the third place.

The conduct of infographics training aims to equip LCRO Staff with the skills necessary to effectively communicate vital civil registration information.
