24 January 2025 – TORRIJOS, MARINDUQUE. Demonstrating its commitment to accessible and inclusive government services, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) has successfully conducted a mobile registration for the National ID System in Barangay Malibago, Torrijos. This effort was made possible through a collaboration with the Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) of Torrijos, led by MCR Ronan L. Regio.
Held on 24 January 2025, this initiative was conducted alongside the Mobile Registration under the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP). The dual activity aimed to ensure that residents, especially those in remote areas, could conveniently register for essential documentation such as birth certificates and National IDs.
The mobile registration drive recorded a significant turnout, successfully enrolling 68 residents in the National ID program. This accomplishment highlights PSA-Marinduque’s dedication to fostering inclusivity and supporting the government’s vision for a unified identification system.
PSA PSO Marinduque personnel efficiently managed the registration process, ensuring a smooth flow of demographic data collection and biometric recording. These efforts were complemented by the active support of the local government unit, spearheaded by MCR Regio, whose collaboration was instrumental in the initiative’s success.
The activity underscores the importance of partnerships between national and local government units in achieving public service goals. By extending National ID services to underserved areas, PSA PSO Marinduque continues to play a key role in advancing digital transformation and promoting efficient service delivery.
The agency encourages all unregistered residents of Marinduque to take part in the ongoing National ID mobile registration activities and reminds the public that registration is free of charge. The office remains committed to its mission of achieving complete coverage of the National ID system in the province.
