22 MAY 2024 - TIGUION, GASAN, MARINDUQUE. PSA-Marinduque PSO, in collaboration with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Gasan, successfully completed Mobile Registration Services in Barangay Tiguion, Gasan, Marinduque. The mobile registration activity was held at the barangay hall of the said barangay. 

Birth Registration Coordinator Shiela Mae Matining, together with Gasan LCRO staff Jazzen Salazar, were present to register individuals who do not have their birth certificates. COLBs of four registrants were successfully prepared upon completing the necessary requirements for delayed registration.  Barangay Secretary Analyn Labay was also there to prepare Barangay Certification and Certificate of Indigency issued by the Punong Barangay, in which these are two of the needed requirements for delayed registration. Tiguion Barangay Officials were also present to provide assistance and support for the successful conduct of this activity. Names of possible target beneficiaries were also listed down for verification with PSA database. Some of the registrants were born outside the province, therefore, their COLBs will be forwarded to concerned PSOs/LCROs for subsequent registration.

BRAP was implemented in the country to ensure that all births of Filipinos are registered in the Local Civil Registry Offices and that they will be enrolled with the PhilSys National Identification System. This undertaking is a joint project of PSA Marinduque, PSA RSSO-MIMAROPA and Gasan LGU. As of 2023, 258 target beneficiaries were allotted to be registered in the Municipality of Gasan. Hence, PSA Marinduque, together with LCRO of Gasan, conducts Mobile Registration activities in various barangays of Gasan to ensure that all unregistered births will be registered to the concerned PSO/LCRO.
