19 February 2025 – MARINDUQUE. In a unified effort to promote inclusive identification and enhance the efficiency of government services, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Marinduque, in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), has successfully launched a co-location initiative for National ID services. This initiative has been strategically integrated into the Family Development Sessions (FDS) of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), benefiting multiple barangays across the municipalities of Santa Cruz and Torrijos.
The initiative, which began on 11 Febraury 2025, will continue throughout the first quarter of the year, with the goal of reaching all barangays in the province. As of this week, 393 4Ps family members have been successfully registered, serving over 500 individuals. The barangay clustering approach has been adopted to ensure the efficient and equitable distribution of services, particularly in communities with mobility challenges.
In addition to registration, PSA personnel actively engage in information dissemination, highlighting the importance of the National ID in facilitating access to public and private services, along with the distribution of IEC materials.
This collaboration between PSA Marinduque and DSWD not only ensures the effective processing of National ID registrations but also strengthens the delivery of essential services to marginalized communities. By aligning the registration process with the Family Development Sessions (FDS), the initiative maximizes its reach and convenience for 4Ps beneficiaries, providing them with a crucial identification tool.
Looking ahead, the partnership will continue to prioritize the inclusion of vulnerable sectors, ensuring that no one is left behind in the national identification process. The concerted effort to raise awareness about the significance of the National ID also reinforces its role in unlocking opportunities for better access to government services, healthcare, and financial inclusion.
PSA Marinduque encourages all eligible individuals to participate in the ongoing registration activities and secure their PhilSys National ID, which serves as a gateway to streamlined and more efficient service delivery across various sectors.
