The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) of Occidental Mindoro is currently conducting the September 2022 Labor Force Survey  (LFS) across the province. The data collection for September 2022 LFS started on 8th September 2022 and will end on 28th September 2022. 

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) of Occidental Mindoro is currently conducting the September 2022 Labor Force Survey (LFS) across the province. The data collection for September 2022 LFS started on 8^th September 2022 and will end on 28^th September 2022.

The September 2022 LFS sample housing units are selected from the 2013 Master Sample (MS) for household-based surveys of the PSA. The sample households will be interviewed face-to-face using a Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) by well-trained Statistical Researchers. In this regard, PSA Occidental Mindoro enjoins sample households to support the September 2022 LFS by providing truthful and complete necessary information. Data items to be collected from this undertaking comprise: a.) demographic characteristics; and b.) economic characteristics.

The monthly LFS aims to provide high frequency statistical information on the Philippine labor market to better monitor and understand the current job situation and economy in the Philippines as well as the impact of the current Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) health crisis. Results of the monthly LFS serve as basis for planning, formulation of policies, and implementing program to create gainful employment and bolster livelihood opportunities for the Filipinos particularly those who were adversely affected by the COVID-19 crisis.
