Cajidiocan’s population recorded at 23,488
The population of the municipality of Cajidiocan as of July 1, 2024 was 23,488 persons. This population count is based on the 2024 Census of Population (2024 POPCEN).
This count has been declared official for all purposes by the President of the Philippines through Proclamation No. 973 dated 11 July 2025, pursuant to Republic Act No. 10625, or the Philippine Statistical Act of 2013, and Executive Order No. 87, s. 2025. These mandate the conduct of periodic censuses to provide government planners, policymakers, and administrators with essential data for crafting social and economic development plans and programs.
This municipal population figure reflects the total number of persons living in the 14 barangays of the municipality as of 12:01 AM on 01 July 2024. It also includes Filipinos in Philippine embassies, consulates, and missions abroad.
The population in 2024 is higher by 229 compared with the population in 2020, and by 1,627 compared with the population in 2015. Table 1 shows the comparative results of the population in the past 4 censuses.

Cajidiocan’s population grew by 0.24 percent
From 2020 to 2024, the population of Cajidiocan grew at an average annual rate of 0.24 percent, a slowdown compared to the 1.31 percent growth rate recorded from 2015 to 2020. This deceleration in population growth may be attributed to a combination of interrelated factors, including declining fertility and birth rates, increased mortality during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the in-migration pattern observed eve after the pandemic.

Fourteen in ever one hundred residents of Cajidiocan are in Danao
The municipality of Cajidiocan comprises 14 barangays. In 2024, Barangay Danao recorded the highest population at 3,199, accounting for 13.6 percent of the municipal total. It was followed by the barangays of Cambajao with 2,445 residents (10.4%) and Sugod with 2,299 residents (9.8%). Collectively, these three barangays comprised approximately 33.8 percent of Cajidiocan’s total population (Figure 1 and Table 3). Ranking fourth and fifth in terms of population were the barangays of Cambalo (2,095) and Cambijang (1,870), respectively.

Barangay Lico was the smallest barangay, in terms of population size, with only 678 persons. It was followed by Barangay Lumbang Este with 813 persons. Their population represents 2.9 and 3.5 percent, respectively.
Out of the fourteen barangays of the municipality, 6 had a positive annual population growth rate (APGR). Barangay Alibagon had the highest growth rate with 3.60 percent. It was followed by Sugod (2.93%), Cambijang (1.69%), Lumbang Este (1.34%), Gutivan (0.92%) and Danao (0.67%).
