22 AUGUST 2024 – PUYOG, BOAC, MARINDUQUE. On 22 August 2024, PSA-Marinduque, in collaboration with the Local Government Unit of Boac, successfully conducted Mobile Registration Services in Barangay Puyog, Boac, Marinduque. The event was organized by the Boac LCRO and took place at the Barangay Hall.
BRC Shiela Mae Matining, along with Boac LCRO staff Lydia M. Semilla and Isabel Calayo, assisted individuals without records in the PSA database. During the event, Certificates of Live Birth (COLBs) were prepared for four individuals following the completion of delayed registration requirements. For registrants born outside the province, their documents will be forwarded to the relevant PSO/LCRO for further processing and registration. In addition, informative leaflets on civil registration were distributed to attendees to help increase awareness and understanding of the registration process. This event highlights the ongoing commitment of PSA-Marinduque and LGU-Boac to improve access to vital registration services for residents.
BRAP is a collaborative initiative involving PSA Marinduque, PSA RSSO-MIMAROPA, and the Boac LGU. The project aims to enhance civil registration, particularly in marginalized communities, including Indigenous Peoples, Muslim Filipinos, and the country’s poorest sectors. By ensuring these groups receive their PhilIDs, BRAP helps them access social benefits and establish their legal identities, which are crucial for claiming their rights and entitlements.
