07 November 2024 – BOAC, MARINDUQUE. In line with the 35th National Statistics Month (NSM) observance, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Provincial Statistical Office of Marinduque hosted a one-day training session on 07 November 2024, aimed at enhancing the skills of Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) staff across the province. The training, held at the Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office, focused on empowering participants with the tools necessary for data analysis, basic statistics, and data visualization through infographics.
The training was designed to equip LCRO staff with vital skills for interpreting and utilizing statistical data more effectively. With a focus on data analysis and visualization, the session helped participants learn how to make data-driven decisions and communicate key insights to their communities in a clearer, more impactful way.
Participants engaged in hands-on exercises that covered essential topics, such as identifying patterns and trends in civil registry data, conducting basic statistical analysis, and using infographics to present findings visually. The training emphasized the importance of these skills in enhancing the quality of services provided by LCROs, particularly in areas that require data-informed decisions, such as health and social welfare.
At the conclusion of the event, participants and PSA PSO Marinduque expressed gratitude for the successful training. Participants valued the new skills gained for professional growth, while PSA PSO Marinduque thanked the LCRO staff for their dedicated involvement in making the training a success.
This training is part of PSA-Marinduque’s commitment to strengthening the statistical capacity of local government units and public service offices. By promoting data literacy at the local level, PSA-Marinduque continues to empower public servants to contribute to more effective governance and sustainable community development.
