16 May 2024-YOOK, BUENAVISTA, MARINDUQUE. PSA Marinduque PSO, in partnership with LCRO Buenavista, successfully completed Mobile Registration in Barangay Yook, Buenavista on 16 May 2024. The said activity was held at the Barangay Hall of the said barangay. Birth Registration Coordinator Shiela Mae D. Matining, together with Buenavista LCRO staff Alma Regio, prepared birth certificates of seven individuals whose birth records were verified not available in the PSA database. Yook Punong Barangay Clemencia Villavicencio and Kagawad Hilda Corral were there to provide assistance and support throughout the conduct of this activity as Barangay Certification and Certificate of Indigency issued by the Punong Barangay are two of the necessary requirements for the delayed registration. Some registrants were born outside of the province, thus their documents will be transmitted and processed by the appropriate PSO/LCRO for subsequent registration.
This undertaking is a joint project of PSA Marinduque, PSA RSSO-MIMAROPA and Buenavista LGU. This project aims to increase the level of civil registration especially in marginalized communities such as those belonging to the Indigenous Peoples, Muslim Filipinos, and the poorest sector in the country and ensuring that they have their PhilIDs issued which is a gateway for them to claim their social benefits and legal identities.
