PSA- Marinduque PSO conducted Training Orientation on the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS BPQ Data Collection, Service Facilities and Government Projects Listing for the Municipalities of Buenavista and Gasan on 14 May 2024 at Legistative Hall Annex, Gasan Municipal Building, Barangay II, Gasan, Marinduque. 

The training was led by Statistical Specialist II, Harvy Fabaleña, together with Statistical Researcher Charlotte Manlisis. Attendees were comprised of barangay personnel from the Municipalities of Gasan and Buenavista, alongside staffs from the Municipal LGUs.

Community representatives and Municipal LGU personnel actively participated in the event, showcasing a strong commitment to enhancing their competence in data collection and project enumeration. The training session aimed to equip participants with vital skills and tools necessary for precise data collection and reporting, ultimately supporting the effectiveness of the 2024 Census of Population and Community-Based Monitoring System.

The program included comprehensive lectures on the concepts, definitions, processes and protocols of data collection and listing to ensure the accuracy of information that will be gathered in all municipalities and barangays of the province. Additionally, trainers provided valuable insights and practical tips, emphasizing the importance of reliable data in planning and implementing local development projects.

Participants expressed their appreciation for the training, noting that the skills and information gained would significantly contribute to more effective governance and community development. The collaborative spirit of the event fostered a sense of shared responsibility and commitment to improving the quality of life for the entire community.
