Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) conducted orientation on the 2024 Census of Population and Community-Based Monitoring System (POPCEN-CBMS) Barangay Profile Questionnaire (BPQ) Data Collection, Service Facilities and Government Project (SFGP) Listing in Mogpog Municipality on 14 May 2024 at the Liga Hall, Mogpog, Marinduque.
The training session was conducted under the guidance of Information Systems Analyst I, Sonny Jr. De la Cruz, accompanied by Statistical Researcher Jeni Lumen Maldonado. Participants included barangay personnel from the Municipality of Mogpog, as well as personnel from the Municipal LGU.
During the training, participants received a comprehensive overview of the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS, coupled with detailed guidance on executing the BPQ and SFGP Listing. The information gathered on barangay profiles will facilitate the updating of the urban-rural classification, while the inventory of service facilities and government projects will support geotagging operations within the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS.
Towards the end of the training, a Q&A session was held, during which the participants voiced their concerns and sought clarifications on various aspects of the topics discussed. Both ISA I De la Cruz and SR Maldonado addressed the queries thoroughly, reinforcing the key points discussed earlier.
The PSA Marinduque PSO expressed their gratitude to the barangay and municipal personnel for their active participation and commitment to the project. They reiterated that the success of the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS heavily relies on the concerted efforts of all stakeholders involved.
As the training concluded, the participants were equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to carry out the BPQ and SFGP Listing effectively. The collaborative spirit and the dedication demonstrated during the training session underscored the community's readiness to contribute to a successful census and monitoring system implementation, ultimately benefiting the entire province of Marinduque.
