07 June 2024 – MARINDUQUE PROVINCIAL STATISTICAL OFFICE. The PSA Marinduque PSO recently held a comprehensive training session on Accomplishing Certificate of Marriage (MF 97) among Parish Secretaries on 07 June 2024 at the Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office.
The interactive training workshop aimed to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of recording vital statistics, particularly marriage records, which are crucial for legal and demographic purposes. Attendees were guided through the latest protocols and best practices in documenting marriages, ensuring compliance with national standards.
The training commenced with opening remarks, leading to a presentation on PSA Mandates delivered by the esteemed Chief Statistical Specialist, Ms. Gemma N. Opis. Subsequently, Registration Officer I, Ms. Mary Michelle Macutong, delved into the topic of marriage, followed by a detailed explanation on completing the Municipal Form (MF 97 or Certificate of Marriage) by Registration Officer II, Ms. Ginalyn Muhi.
The session included detailed presentations on the proper procedures, common errors to avoid, and the significance of each section of the form. Interactive workshops were further conducted, allowing parish secretaries to practice filling out the certificates with guidance from PSO personnel. The presence and contribution of the Regional Director, Ms. Leni R. Rioflorido, proved invaluable as she addressed key issues related to the subject matter, offering valuable insights and clarifications.
The training also featured a Q&A segment where participants could voice their concerns and clarify doubts. This open dialogue fostered a collaborative atmosphere, ensuring that all attendees left with a thorough understanding of the processes involved.
At the conclusion of the session, participants received certificates of participation, acknowledging their commitment to upholding the highest standards in civil registration. The event was deemed a resounding success, with positive feedbacks highlighting the clarity and usefulness of the information provided.
The PSA Marinduque PSO plans to hold similar training sessions in the future, recognizing the importance of continuous education and support for those involved in key administrative roles.
