24 November 2024 – MARINDUQUE PROVINCIAL STATISTICAL OFFICE. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) successfully conducted the Fourth Quarter 2024 Re-designed Crops Production Survey (Household and Establishment), for ten days covering the November 15 - 24, 2024, including Saturdays and Sundays.

The CrPS, is one of the major agricultural surveys conducted quarterly by the PSA that aims to generate estimates on volume of production, area planted/harvested, number of bearing hills/vines, and farmgate prices for crops other than palay and corn at national and sub-national levels. 
Moreover, the CrPS also collects data on farmgate prices, which were previously collected in the Farm Prices Survey (FPS). 

PSA Marinduque hired four Statistical Researchers (SRs) to conduct personal interviews with 331 farmer-producers from selected barangays across the province, including Apitong, Bamban, Boton, Daig, Duyay, Mainit, Maligaya, Poras, Puting Buhangin, and Puyog in Boac, Bagtingon, Bicas-bicas, Caigangan, Sihi, and Timbo in Buenavista, Bachao Ilaya, Cabugao, Dili, Masiga, and Pingan, Gasan, Anapog-Sibucao, Balanacan, Bintakay, Gitnang Bayan, Guisian, Ino, Malayak, Malusak, Mendez Paye, Puting Buhangin, Sayao, Sumangga, and Tarug, Mogpog, Alobo, Angas, Balogo, Bagong Silang, Baguidbirin, Ipil, Jolo, Lapu-lapu, Lipa, Libjo, Lusok, Makulapnit, Masaguisi, Matalaba, and Polo in Santa Cruz, Cagpo, Kay Duke, Malibago, Marlangga, Matuyatuya, and Pakaskasan in Torrijos in Re-designed Crops Production Survey (Household); and 2 farmer producers from selected barangays across the province, including Cawit and Poras, Boac in Re-designed Crops Production Survey (Establishment). 

In this regard, the sample households are encouraged to participate in this nationwide undertaking by providing the necessary and accurate information. 

According to Section 19 of Republic Act No. 10173, the “Data Privacy Act of 2012,” all collected information will be kept confidential. Section 26 of RA No. 10625 states that individual dataprovided to the PSA for statistical inquiries is privileged communication and inadmissible as evidence in any proceeding.
