11 August 2025 – BOAC, MARINDUQUE. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office, headed by Chief Statistical Specialist Gemma N. Opis and Statistical Specialist II Harvy M. Fabaleña, paid a courtesy visit to Governor-elect Melecio Jinang Go to discuss the implementation of the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) in the province.

During the meeting, PSA officials highlighted the importance of the CBMS as a vital tool for collecting updated and reliable local-level data. They emphasized its role in supporting evidence-based governance and informed decision-making, particularly in the formulation of policies and programs that address the specific needs of Marinduque’s communities.

In addition, PSA tools the opportunity to inform the Governor of the scheduled CBMS Data Turnover Ceremony come 18 August 2025, in which all the local Chief Executives and other selected Municipal LGU Officials will attend. 

Governor Go expressed his appreciation for the briefing and underscored the value of accurate statistical information in achieving sustainable development for the province.

The courtesy call forms part of PSA Marinduque’s continuing initiatives to strengthen coordination with local leaders and promote the use of statistical data as a critical tool for sustainable and community-centered development in the province.
