The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Occidental Mindoro Provincial Statistical Office, in partnership with the Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) of San Jose, successfully awarded Certificates of Live Birth (COLB) printed in Security Paper (SecPa) to eighty-one (81) recipients of the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP).

This activity was initiated by the Local Government Unit (LGU) headed by Municipal Mayor of San Jose Atty. Rey Cajayon Ladaga, through the Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) headed by the Municipal Civil Registrar, Engr. Ronald V. Reyes. BRAP aims to ensure that all births of Filipinos are registered in the LCROs, particularly in marginalized communities. The project provides free COLBs printed in SecPa, which serves as a gateway for individuals to claim their social benefits and establish their legal identity.

The awarding ceremony was held on July 8 and 9, 2025, at Barangay Bagong Sikat and Labangan Poblacion, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro. The PSA and its partners will continue to implement the BRAP in various locations throughout the country, aiming to reach more individuals and communities in need of assistance.
