PSA Palawan and PLCR Hold 3-Day Training on RAs 9048, 10172, 9255, Legal Instruments, and Court Decrees

 

28 April 2025 – PUERTO PRINCESA CITY. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Palawan, in collaboration with the Palawan League of Civil Registrars (PLCR), successfully conducted a 3-day training on RAs 9048, 10172, 9255, Legal Instruments, and Court Decrees last April 22–24, 2025 at Citystate Asturias Hotel, Puerto Princesa City.

The training aimed to strengthen the knowledge and skills of Local Civil Registry (LCR) staff in handling registration laws and civil registration processes. Among the resource speakers were Atty. Harjade S. Dammang, Attorney IV and RA Supervisor of PSA Legal Service Division, who discussed the concepts and procedures of RAs 9048 and 10172; and Alexander Pilimpinas, Registration Officer III of PSA 
Civil Register Management Division (CRMD), who shared procedures on Supplemental Reports, Legitimation, Court Orders/Decrees, and Registration under RAs 11642 and 11222.

Updates on civil registration were provided by PSA MIMAROPA Regional Director Leni R. Rioflorido. Meanwhile, Registration Officer II Romelita F. Hernandez and Registration Officer I Allyssa Colleen Eugenio, both from PSA Palawan Provincial Statistical Office (PSO), discussed issues on electronic endorsement of civil registry documents and the updates on the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP).

To formally wrap up the training, certificates of appreciation were awarded to the speakers, and certificates of participation were given to the participants.
