06 DECEMBER 2024 – MARINDUQUE PROVINCIAL STATISTICAL OFFICE. In its commitment to fostering professional growth and operational excellence, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office conducted an in-house orientation on Republic Act No. 11767, also known as the Foundling Recognition and Protection Act, on 06 December 2024. The training sought to ensure that personnel are fully equipped to implement the provisions of the law and effectively address the needs of foundlings in their civil registration duties.

The training led, by Ms. Gemma N. Opis, Chief Statistical Specialist, provided a thought-provoking message on the role of the PSA in advancing inclusive policies. She also facilitated the in-depth discussion on RA 11767, detailing its key provisions, objectives, and practical implications for civil registration processes. Her presentation offered clarity on the responsibilities of the agency in ensuring the full recognition and protection of foundlings under the law.

An engaging open forum followed the main discussion, allowing participants to address concerns and clarify procedural aspects, fostering a deeper understanding of the law and its application.

This initiative underscores PSA’s unwavering commitment to its mission of delivering inclusive and efficient public services, contributing to the nation’s goal of empowering marginalized sectors through informed governance and legal protection.
