MARINDUQUE PROVINCIAL STATISTICAL OFFICE – The Philippine  Statistics Authority (PSA) – Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office has  officially commenced the 2025 Updating of List of Agricultural Farm Operators and Inland Fishing Households (ULAFO) and the 2025 Listing of 
Marine Fish Landing Centers (LMFLC) today, 11 August 2025. The operations will run until November 4, 2025. 

This nationwide undertaking aims to improve the sampling frame for agricultural and fisheries-based surveys and provide updated data critical to policy-making, planning, and development programs in the agriculture and fisheries sectors.

In Marinduque, 114 barangays not covered by the 2022 Census of  Agriculture and Fisheries (CAF) will be visited. PSA Marinduque has deployed 17 Enumerators and 2 Team Supervisors to carry out the listing  and geotagging activities across the province. 

The ULAFO component seeks to: 
• Determine the number and type of agricultural farm operators; 
• Collect detailed information on farm characteristics, crop and livestock activities; 
• Identify inland fishing households and their activities. 

Meanwhile, the LMFLC component aims to: 
• Update the list of marine fish landing centers; 
• Gather data on landing center characteristics, operations, and unloading volume during peak and lean months; 
• Geotag all active and temporarily closed landing centers, with validation from the Municipal Agriculturist Office (MAO). 

Data collection will primarily be done using Computer-Assisted Personal  Interviewing (CAPI) via tablets. In areas where tablet use is not feasible, the  Paper-and-Pencil Interview (PAPI) method will be applied and digitized afterward. 

The PSA appeals to all sampled households and barangays to extend their  cooperation to our field personnel by providing truthful and complete  information. All data collected will be kept strictly confidential and used solely for statistical purposes, in accordance with RA 10625 (Philippine Statistical Act of 2013) and RA 10173 (Data Privacy Act of 2012).
