26 FEBRUARY 2025 – ROMBLON, ROMBLON. The Philippine Statistics Authority – Romblon Provincial Statistical Office successfully held the Mobile Serbisyo Caravan at Alad National High School on 25 February 2025. The event was conducted in celebration of the 35th Civil Registration Month with a theme “𝘉𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵, 𝘈𝘨𝘪𝘭𝘦, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘍𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦-𝘧𝘪𝘵 𝘊𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘭 𝘙𝘦𝘨𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘝𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘴 𝘚𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮”.

Students of Alad NHS who participated in the Info Dissemination about Civil Registration Laws and Processes together with PSA Romblon personnel.

The caravan featured an information dissemination to raise awareness about the significance of civil registration and National ID in the school community, and on-site acceptance of civil registry document requests, allowing students, teachers and Alad residents to conveniently request civil registry documents.

Chief Statistical Specialist Engr. Johnny F. Solis underlined the role that civil registration plays in establishing identity and gaining access to necessary social services, ensuring that students may fully engage in society and have access to vital educational opportunities. He gave comprehensive overview regarding registration process for vital events, and pertinent civil registry laws, particularly those concerning the correction of entries in vital documents.

Then, Registration Officer I Engr. Mariel V. Fallarcuna informed the students and teachers about the National ID. She emphasized the acceptance of National ID in all government and private transactions, and provided answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) about the National ID. She gave the attendees instructions on how to use the digital version of the National ID as well and briefed them that PSA prohibits the production and printing of the Digital National ID on polyvinyl chloride (PVC) cards.

Complementing the information dissemination, PSA Romblon conducted the game "PSA Says," which is PSA's take on Family Feud, to evaluate student’s comprehension on civil registration and National ID. Team Goldanians was declared the winner while Team Eclipse placed second.

Further, twenty-seven (27) clients were catered to with 39 civil registry document requests. Due to the long travel distance, this action allowed Alad island locals to request civil registry documents with less effort, time, and expense.

The annual observance of CRM is pursuant to Proclamation No. 682 “Declaring the Month of February of Every Year as Civil Registration Month” issued by then President Corazon C. Aquino dated January 28, 1991.
