28 July 2025 - ROMBLON, ROMBLON. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Romblon continues to demonstrate diligence in the implementation of the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys), having registered a total of 264,096 individuals as of June 30, 2025. Of this number, 262,228 are residents of Romblon, while 68 registrants are from outside the province.

For the month of June 2025, PSA Romblon accomplished 1,881 Step 2 registrations, surpassing its monthly target by an 250.80%. This exceptional performance underscores the unwavering commitment of PSA Romblon and its dedicated field personnel, who consistently extend their services to unregistered individuals — even those residing in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas (GIDAs).

Among the notable accomplishments for the month were the successful registrations of 75 members of the Indigenous group Sibuyang Mangyang Taga-bukid (SMT) from Sibuyan Island and 3 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs). Furthermore, 372 children aged 0–4 and 1,510 individuals aged 5 and above were enrolled in PhilSys.

Social Pensioners successfully onboarded to National ID Step 2 Registration.

In a significant show of compassion and inclusivity, 682 social pensioners were registered through targeted outreach efforts in collaboration with the Offices of Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) in various municipalities. A major highlight of these efforts was the colocation of registration services within OSCA offices and the special house-to-house registration drive in the municipality of Romblon. This initiative specifically reached out to bedridden senior citizens and pensioners who were unable to visit registration centers.

These proactive and inclusive strategies ensured that the most vulnerable sectors of society are not left behind in acquiring their National ID, a vital requirement for accessing government services and benefits.

The municipalities with the highest number of registrants in June were Magdiwang (370), Corcuera (345), and San Agustin (201). PSA Romblon continues to operate across five major islands — Tablas, Romblon Mainland, Sibuyan, Banton, and Simara — despite facing logistical challenges such as unpredictable weather and limited number of personnel.

The province also experienced a high volume of demographic updates, processing 486 transactions in June alone, bringing the total to 965 updates since the service began in June 2024. Meanwhile, 657 National ID in paper form were distributed in June, while the distribution of ePhilIDs has reached 226,970, with 657 ePhilIDs issued in June.

The Fixed Registration Center (FRC), located on the 2nd Floor of the PSA Romblon District Office on Gen. Luna St., Dapawan, Odiongan, Romblon, remains open from Monday to Friday.
