01 October 2024 – Calapan City - The Philippine Statistics Authority MIMAROPA conducted a National ID Information Drive during the opening ceremony of the 35th NSM, held on 01 October 2024 at Mindoro State University, Calapan City Campus, to the relying parties and stakeholders from various sectors.

Registration Officer III, Leovell B. Atienza, presented the salient features of Republic Act 11055, Executive Order No. 162, other related issuances, and the formats of the National ID. RO III Atienza also highlighted the penal provisions of RA 11055 concerning the non-acceptance of the National ID. Moreover, Statistical Specialist II Emerson V. Caisip explained the crucial role of the National ID in the government’s efforts to improve the delivery of public services, enhance social and financial inclusion, and strengthen security and identity verification. He also emphasized the National ID Authentication Services and the on-boarding process via the National ID eVerify. The participants were able to gain a deeper understanding on the benefits of the National ID.

Following the discussion, an audio-visual presentation on how to generate a Digital National ID and perform a National ID check was shown
