28 August 2024 – IHATUB, BOAC, MARINDUQUE. On 28 August 2024, PSA Marinduque PSO and LCRO Boac successfully conducted a Mobile Registration event in Barangay Ihatub, Boac, Marinduque. BRC Shiela Mae D. Matining, together with Boac LCRO staff Lydia M. Semilla and Isabel Calayo, facilitated the registration of certificates for four individuals whose birth records were verified not available from the PSA database. Since some of these individuals were born outside Marinduque, their documents will be forwarded to the appropriate PSO or LCRO offices for further processing and registration. Additionally, Boac LCRO staff Semilla provided information and guidance to clients regarding corrections needed for inaccurate entries on their civil registry documents.
Moreover, Boac LCRO staff Calayo assisted constituents in obtaining PSA copies of their civil registry documents by facilitating requests through the Boac BREQS. This service helped streamline the process for accessing vital records and ensured that residents could efficiently acquire the necessary documentation.
This initiative underscores the commitment of PSA Marinduque PSO and LCRO Boac to providing essential civil registry services, especially for individuals whose birth records are not initially available in the centralized database. The effort aimed to address gaps in civil registry records and ensure accurate documentation for all participants.
BRAP aims to enhance civil registration among Indigenous Peoples, Muslim Filipinos, and the country’s poorest sectors. By ensuring that these communities receive their PhilIDs, which are crucial for accessing social benefits and securing legal identities, the project seeks to improve registration rates and facilitate the issuance of PhilIDs. This effort is designed to empower these individuals to claim their rights and benefits, ultimately fostering greater inclusion and equality.
