11 February 2025 – PUERTO PRINCESA CITY. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) have joined forces to facilitate the registration of families under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys), commonly known as the national ID. As part of this collaboration, the Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) of PSA Palawan is leading the implementation of registration activities throughout the province.

This partnership aims to strengthen efforts to provide a secure, reliable, and universally accepted proof of identity for all Filipinos. By facilitating the registration of 4Ps beneficiaries, the PSA and DSWD seek to enhance financial inclusion and streamline access to various government services and benefits. The national ID system plays a crucial role, as it simplifies identity verification and enables beneficiaries to seamlessly access government programs, banking services, and other essential transactions.

The PSA and DSWD have a long-standing collaboration in ensuring that vulnerable sectors, particularly low-income families, are provided with the necessary support to improve their quality of life.

PSA Palawan is committed in its continuous registration activities in various municipalities across the province. The conduct of mobile registration is already in action within the Province of Palawan, ensuring that even those in remote areas have access to the registration process. Registration in the national ID is free of charge and open to all, ensuring fair access for every eligible Filipino citizen. Applicants must bring their supporting documents, such as birth certificates and valid government-issued IDs, to facilitate a smooth registration.

All eligible individuals are encouraged to take advantage of this initiative and register for the national ID. For more information, you may email us at palawan@psa.gov.ph, call our office at (048) 434-2092, or visit our official Facebook page, Philippine Statistics Authority – Palawan.
