06 November 2024 – BOAC, MARINDUQUE.The 35th National Statistics Month (NSM) celebration continued to inspire the next generation during its recent stop at Ilaya National High School in Balimbing, Boac, Marinduque on 06 November 2024. Hosted by PSA-Marinduque, in collaboration with LGU Boac and LCRO Boac, the event aimed to engage students with the practical importance of statistics in modern society.
The highlight of the day was a lively Statistics Quiz, expertly led by Statistical Specialist II Harvy Fabaleña and Statistical Analyst Cedric Montiano. The quiz encouraged active student participation and tested their knowledge of statistics in a fun and interactive way. This exciting activity was designed to enhance students' understanding of statistical concepts while fostering friendly competition.
Additionally, an informative Exhibit of Infographics was set up to showcase the relevance of statistics in everyday life, while interactive sessions emphasized the importance of data in national development.
Beyond education, the event aimed to inspire students to consider potential future careers in statistics and data analysis. As they explored the exhibits and participated in discussions, they were encouraged to envision themselves as future contributors to the nation's progress through their knowledge and understanding of data.
This successful stop on the NSM School Tour is just one of the many activities PSA-Marinduque has organized to engage and educate the community, highlighting the vital role of statistics in building a more empowered, informed, and data-driven nation.
