17 June 2025 - ROMBLON, ROMBLON. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Romblon conducts the Second Quarter 2025 Aquaculture and Inland Fisheries Survey pursuant to Republic Act (RA) No. 10625. This Act authorizes the PSA to conduct periodic censuses and surveys encompassing population, housing, agriculture, fisheries, business, industry, and other economic sectors. The quarterly fisheries survey is one of the major PSA initiatives generating the volume and price of species harvested by inland fishing households and aquafarms.

Data collection for this survey will be conducted by six (6) trained statistical researchers from June 16 to 26, 2025. The activity will cover selected inland households and aquafarm operators across twelve (12) municipalities in the Province of Romblon. Selected respondents are highly encouraged to actively participate by providing accurate and complete information to the authorized data collectors. Rest assured, all information gathered will be treated with the utmost confidentiality and will not be used for purposes of taxation, investigation, or regulation, in strict compliance with Article 55 of Republic Act No. 10625 (Philippine Statistical Act of 2013).
