17 June 2025 - ROMBLON, ROMBLON. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) - Romblon Provincial Statistical Office currently conducts the 2nd Quarter 2025 Crops Production Survey (CrPS). The CrPS aims to provide a comprehensive picture of crop production, including yields, planted and harvested areas, and farmgate prices for various crops (excluding palay and corn).
These economic surveys on agriculture and fisheries are conducted under the authority of Republic Act No. 10625, which mandates the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) to carry out periodic censuses and surveys covering population, housing, agriculture, fisheries, business, industry, and other key economic sectors.

Six trained statistical researchers will be collecting data from the statistically selected sample households in fourteen (14) municipalities in the province of Romblon. The data to be collected is vital for both national and local agricultural policy decision-making. The researchers will utilize Computer-Aided Personal Interview (CAPI) technology to streamline the data collection process and ensure accuracy.
The PSA assures the public that all information collected will be kept strictly confidential, in accordance with Article 55 of Republic Act No. 10625. The data will not be used for purposes of taxation, investigation, or any form of regulatory action. This guarantee of confidentiality is intended to promote trust and encourage full participation among respondents.
