17 June 2025 – ROMBLON, ROMBLON. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Romblon conducted a three-day operational training from June 5 to 7, 2025, for the Second Quarter 2025 Fisheries and Crops Production Survey at the PSA Odiongan District Office, Odiongan, Romblon. The training was aimed at equipping field personnel with the necessary knowledge and skills for effective data collection. The Quarterly Inland and Aquaculture Fisheries Surveys gathers data on the volume and price of species harvested by inland fishing households and aquafarms across the twelve (12) municipalities in the province.

Concurrently, the Crops Production Survey—one of PSA’s major agricultural data collection activities—seeks to generate estimates on crop production volume, area planted or harvested, number of bearing trees/hills/vines, and farmgate prices for various crops (excluding palay and corn). Sampled farm operators from fourteen (14) municipalities in the province of Romblon will be visited to provide data, which is essential for informed policy-making and agricultural development planning.
