20 June 2025 – BOAC, MARINDUQUE. In a strong display of inter-agency coordination and commitment to inclusive service delivery, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office successfully rolled out a three-day National ID registration in the clustered barangays of Poras, Balimbing, and Ihatub on June 16, 18, and 19, 2025, respectively.

The initiative was strategically implemented in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), coinciding with the scheduled distribution of social pension benefits to senior citizens. This integrated approach allowed National ID Registration Team to deliver on-site  National ID registration services, eliminating the need for beneficiaries—many of whom are elderly or mobility-challenged—to travel to fixed registration centers.

Over the course of the activity, the National ID registration team was able to serve a total of 83 clients, with 36 individuals successfully completing their registration. The activity significantly contributed to the agency’s efforts in expanding National ID coverage and promoting identity inclusion in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas.

To complement the registration, PSA personnel also conducted information dissemination sessions aimed at increasing public awareness of the National ID program. Discussions covered the key features and benefits of the National ID, the use and validity of both physical and digital formats, and its role in streamlining access to various public and private sector services.

This outreach forms part of PSA-Marinduque’s broader mandate to strengthen identity systems nationwide by bringing services closer to the communities, particularly those who may otherwise face challenges in accessing them.
