On April 12, 2024, PSA-Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) held a press conference at the Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office in Boac, Marinduque. Ms. Gemma N. Opis, Chief Statistical Specialist of PSA Marinduque, spearheaded the event, delivering the February 2024 inflation report of the province.

The press conference centered on the headline inflation rates within the province, noting a decrease to 0.9 percent in March 2024 from 1.5 percent in February 2024, contrasting sharply with the 9.4 percent inflation rate recorded in March 2023. Furthermore, the discussion highlighted the specific commodity groupings impacting price fluctuations and delved into the primary factors influencing the province's inflation rate.
