04 JUNE 2024 - SANTA CRUZ, MARINDUQUE. Twelve individuals in the Municipality of Santa Cruz had their Certificates of Live Birth successfully prepared, free of charge, thru the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP).
PSA Marinduque PSO, in collaboration with LCRO Santa Cruz, has successfully completed Mobile Registration on BRAP in the two interior barangays in Santa Cruz – Barangays Punong and Dating Bayan, on 04 June 2024. The said activities took place in their respective Barangay Halls. BRC Shiela Mae D. Matining and ROI Mary Michelle Macutong were there to prepare the certificates of twelve individuals whose birth records were verified not available in the PSA database.

Following the registration in Brgy. Dating Bayan, another BRAP Mobile Registration was likewise conducted in Barangay Dolores, Santa Cruz, Marinduque on 04 June 2024. Four individuals were registered after they completed the necessary requirements for delayed registration of Live Birth.
The three Barangay Secretaries of the said barangays were also present to prepare documents such as Barangay Certifications and Certificates of Indigency of the registrants.
Some of the registrants were born outside the province, hence, their documents will be forwarded and processed by the concerned PSO/LCRO for the subsequent registration.
This undertaking is a joint project of PSA Marinduque, PSA RSSO-MIMAROPA and Santa Cruz LGU. This project aims to increase the level of civil registration especially in marginalized communities such as those belonging to the Indigenous Peoples group, Muslim Filipinos, and the poorest sector in the country and ensuring that they have their PhilIDs issued which is a gateway for them to claim their social benefits and legal identities.
