08 November 2024 – BUENAVISTA, MARINDUQUE. In celebration of the 35th National Statistics Month (NSM), the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office conducted an educational school tour on 08 November 2024, at Buenavista National High School - Daykitin Annex. The event, aimed at promoting statistical awareness and appreciation among students, featured engaging activities centered on this year's NSM theme: “Advancing Data and Statistics Through Digital Transformation: A Road to an Empowered Nation.”

The highlight of the day was an interactive Statistical Quiz competition, where students demonstrated their knowledge in various fields of statistics and data science. The quiz covered topics including basic statistical concepts, current trends in digital transformation, and the significance of data in everyday life. Participants showcased their skills and competed enthusiastically, answering questions that challenged their analytical thinking and statistical knowledge.

Through activities like the Statistical Quiz, PSA Marinduque aims to foster a deeper understanding and interest in statistics among the youth, encouraging them to see the value of data in driving meaningful change and development in society. In addition to the quiz, the PSA team delivered informative sessions on the importance of statistics in national development and how digital tools and transformation are shaping the future of statistical practices.

The school tour was part of a series of initiatives under the 35th NSM, reinforcing the PSA’s commitment to building a data-literate and empowered nation through educational outreach. PSA Marinduque extends its sincere appreciation to the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Buenavista, the Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) of Buenavista, and Buenavista National High School - Daykitin Annex for their support, as well as to the students for their active participation and enthusiasm.

The PSA Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office remains dedicated to advancing statistical education and digital transformation, as it continues to celebrate the 35th NSM with various activities across the province.
