PSA Occidental Mindoro Conducts the First Quarter 2025 Consultative Forum of Municipal Civil Registrars

30 January 2025, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro. The Philippine Statistics Authority – Occidental Mindoro conducted its 2025 First Quarter Consultative Forum on Civil Registration. The forum was attended by the Regional Director, Ms. Leni R. Rioflorido, Chief Statistical Specialist, Maribel L. Bernardo, PhD., Municipal Civil Registrars (MCR) of Occidental Mindoro and PSA personnel.
The forum was opened by the Municipal Mayor, Atty. Rey C. Ladaga represented by the Municipal Administrator Ms. Rochelle L. Quizia. Another inspirational message was given by the Chief Statistical Specialist Maribel L. Bernardo, PhD. The Regional Director of RSSO MIMAROPA Ms. Leni R. Rioflorido opened the forum and discussed the Memorandum Circulars of the Civil Registry documents. With this discussion, municipal registrars was guided accordingly on the guidelines and processes of civil registration.
Furthermore, CSS Maribel L. Bernardo, PhD., presented the criteria for 2025 awards for outstanding LCROs and the activities for the upcoming 35th Civil Registration Month. Then, Ms. Esperanza Hambali, Registration Officer II gave an updates on the status of civil registry documents submitted by the LCROs, implementation of Batch Request System (BREQS) and Philippines Civil Registry Information System (PhilCRIS), as well as the status of Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP).
The first quarter consultative forum for 2025 was a resounding success with its achieved objective to discuss the civil registration, share the knowledge and expertise to improve overall civil registration system in our province. This also marks a significant milestone in fostering collaboration, inclusivity and partnership between the PSA and Municipal Civil Registrars in the province. The discussions, insights, and recommendation shared during the discussion has enriches the understanding of the challenges and opportunities for improvement of the civil registration system.
As we move forwards, the PSA Occidental Mindoro remains committed on its mandate to deliver efficient civil registration services in the province.
