May 8, 2025 | Hotel Kimberly Manila, Malate, Metro Manila — The Philippine Statistics Authority - Regional Statistical Services Office MIMAROPA (PSA-RSSO MIMAROPA) was invited to present updates on the implementation of the National ID during the Second Quarter Meeting of the Regional Development Council - Development Administration Committee (RDC-DAC), held at Hotel Kimberly, Manila.

Representing PSA MIMAROPA, Registration Officer III Leovell B. Atienza delivered a presentation on the key developments in the rollout of the National ID system in the MIMAROPA Region. Ms. Atienza shared the latest quick counts of National ID registrations, discussed the different formats of the ID, outlined the region's accomplishments, and addressed the challenges encountered along with the corresponding interventions and solutions.

Following the presentation, Assistant National Statistician Lovely Marela Andres of the PhilSys Registry Office addressed various questions raised by members of the committee, providing further insights into the ongoing implementation of the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys).

The committee members expressed their appreciation for the updates and reaffirmed their continued support for the implementation and enhancement of the National ID in the MIMAROPA Region.
