03 June 2025 – BROOKE’S POINT, PALAWAN. The Philippine Statistics Authority – Palawan Provincial Statistical Office participated in the Advocacy Campaign on Civil Registration, Birth, and National ID Mobile Registration held on May 6, 2025, at the Convention Center of Brooke’s Point, Palawan. The activity was organized by the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos – South Luzon in collaboration with the Local Civil Registry Office of Brooke’s Point, aiming to bring essential government services closer to Muslim residents in the area.

The campaign focused on raising awareness and access to civil registration and National ID services among Muslim communities who often face challenges in obtaining legal documentation. The initiative highlighted the importance of civil registration and national identification in promoting access to education, healthcare, and social protection.

Municipal Civil Registrar Salve Corazon T. Villaruel discussed the civil registration procedures for Muslim Filipinos, while Registration Officer II Romelita Hernandez of PSA Palawan presented an overview of the agency’s programs and services. Registration Officer II and PhilSys Focal Person Ariel D. Magallanes also provided updates on the National ID registration process, explaining its benefits and current implementation status.

To complement the information drive, the program featured on-site National ID registration, issuance of ePhilIDs, and the distribution of brochures on civil registration, helping ensure that the services were accessible and informative for the target beneficiaries. The participation of PSA Palawan reflects its continued commitment to supporting inclusive and community-based outreach efforts across the province.
