19 June 2025 – SANTA CRUZ, MARINDUQUE. Demonstrating its unwavering commitment to promoting a unified and inclusive national identification system, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office rolled out an intensive information dissemination campaign on 19 June 2025 across various government offices in the Municipality of Santa Cruz.
This initiative, spearheaded by the PSA Marinduque National ID Team, was designed to bolster institutional understanding and reinforce compliance with the Public Advisory on the acceptance of all formats of the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) credentials—including the physical National ID Card, National ID in paper format also known as ePhilID, and digital National ID.
The PSA team conducted onsite visits to several key municipal and national government agencies in Santa Cruz, providing them with up-to-date information materials and policy briefings. The outreach emphasized the legal mandate behind the National ID system and clarified the equal validity of each ID format for official transactions and service delivery.
The campaign received favorable responses from local offices, many of which expressed strong support for the national directive and a renewed commitment to digital transformation. This activity aligns with PSA’s broader objective to enable a more efficient, accessible, and secure identity ecosystem in line with Republic Act No. 11055 or the PhilSys Act.
PSA Marinduque continues to advocate for the widespread utilization of the National ID as a key to simplifying access to government and financial services, reducing transaction costs, and enhancing service delivery nationwide.
For additional information on the National ID program or for assistance in registration and ID usage, the public is encouraged to contact the PSA Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office.
