31 March 2025 – TAYTAY, PALAWAN. To promote inclusivity and ensure everyone has access to essential government services, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Palawan recently conducted a National ID registration specifically for Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) at Taytay District Jail on 22 March 2025.
A total of 23 PDLs were accommodated during the said registration. Among them, 14 were successfully registered for their National ID while nine requested their ePhilID (National ID in paper format). This initiative was conducted in collaboration with Taytay District Jail, led by Jail Senior Inspector Gilbert B. Anza, Acting Jail Warden, who requested assistance from PSA Palawan to address the identification needs of PDLs.
PSA Palawan's team included Registration Kit Operator Jerome Alfred Venturillo and Registration Assistant Sherry Larot, who facilitated the mobile registration and provided support throughout the process. Taytay District Jail supported the activity by providing necessary resources such as internet access and electricity, ensuring a smooth and efficient registration process.
PSA Palawan remains committed to providing equal access to government services and continues to serve all sectors of the community, including individuals in challenging circumstances.
