11 March 2024 – ROMBLON, ROMBLON. The Philippine Statistics Authority Romblon Provincial Statistical Office in collaboration with the Local Government Unit (LGU) has successfully awarded Birth Certificates in Security Paper to beneficiaries of the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP).

During the celebration of the 34th Civil Registration Month with the theme “CRVS: The Future of Seamless Services”, several awarding ceremonies to beneficiaries had been conducted by PSA Romblon. Most recently, an awarding ceremony to 13 beneficiaries both at the municipalities of Santa Maria and Corcuera and 22 beneficiaries at San Jose, Romblon.

As of writing, a total of 306 birth certificates in security paper had been already awarded to its beneficiaries while 298 more are still to be awarded within this month.

With more mobile registrations being conducted by the local civil registry offices in the province, the total registered BRAP beneficiaries also increases, hereby reducing the number of unregistered Romblomanons.

PSA Romblon encourages unregistered individuals in the province, including those that were born outside but now residing in the province, to visit the local civil registry office in their municipality and inquire how to avail of the BRAP services.
