The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) recently completed the May 2024 round of the Survey of Retail Prices of Selected Commodities and Services for the Generation of Consumer Price Index (CPI). The survey was conducted in two phases: the first from May 1-5, 2024, and the second from May 15-17, 2024.
During the survey, data was collected from six designated outlets/establishments in the province to determine the prices of essential goods and services. The information gathered will be used to calculate the Consumer Price Index (CPI), which is crucial for monitoring inflation and making informed economic decisions.
The PSA-Marinduque PSO has enlisted six Statistical Researchers (SRs) to gather data concerning the prices of specific goods and services. The SRs have visited six designated outlets located throughout the province for this purpose.
