10 July 2024 – BOAC, MARINDUQUE. The Philippine Statistics Authority Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) has taken proactive steps to inform stakeholders about the acceptance of the Digital National ID in all transactions.

In an effort to enhance community engagement, particularly among agency stakeholders, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) facilitated an information dissemination campaign in various money remittance centers and courier delivery service establishments within the Municipality of Boac on 10 July 2024.

The primary objective of this endeavor was to promote awareness regarding the recently launched Digital National ID, a pioneering initiative by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) aimed at enhancing accessibility and simplifying identification procedures for Filipinos.

The campaign featured informative sessions conducted by PSA Marinduque representatives, detailing the Public Advisory on recognizing the Digital National ID as a valid form of identification, subject to authentication. This verification process involves utilizing the National ID Check to validate the authenticity of the Digital National ID. Additionally, instructional flyers were disseminated, outlining the procedure for obtaining the Digital National ID and utilizing the National ID Check, accompanied by a brief demonstration on accessing and utilizing both tools.

The PhilSys Team visited a total of 15 establishments within the municipality, ensuring that a diverse array of stakeholders, including employees, and customers, are well-informed about the benefits and uses of the Digital National ID. The team also addressed common questions and concerns, providing clarity and support to ease the transition to this new system.

To further bolster community engagement, the PSA Marinduque PSO plans to conduct follow-up sessions and workshops in other municipalities, ensuring widespread understanding and acceptance of the Digital National ID across the province. These efforts underscore the PSA's commitment to fostering an informed and empowered citizenry, leveraging technology to enhance public services and improve the overall quality of life for Filipinos.

Individuals enrolled in the National ID system can access and review their Digital National ID through https://national-id.gov.ph or by downloading the eGovPH app. This process entails entering demographic information and undergoing facial verification to confirm one's identity.

Moreover, the National ID eVerify platform features the National ID Check functionality, accessible at https://everify.gov.ph, enabling users to authenticate various formats of the National ID, including the Digital National ID, by scanning the QR code feature.
