22 May 2025 – PSA PALAWAN. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) announces the conduct of the July 2025 Crops Production Survey (CRPS). The Crops Production Survey (CrPS) is one of the major agricultural surveys conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). This survey aims to generate estimates on volume of production, area planted/harvested, number of bearing trees/hills/vines, and farmgate prices for crops other than palay and corn at the national and sub-national levels.

The data generated from CrPS are inputs to the Value of Production in Philippine Agriculture and Fisheries, and accordingly to the preparation of the GDP. Moreover, the survey supports the data needs of planners, policy and decision makers, and other stakeholders in the agriculture sector particularly the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), Department of Agriculture (DA) and its attached agencies such as Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI) and Philippine Council for Agriculture and Fisheries (PCAF), and the general public.

The face-to-face interview using Computer Aided Personal interview (CAPI) technique will be used in gathering the necessary information to the sample household. The field data collection will be undertaken on 19 to 28 June 2025 where a total of 607 sample households across the province of Palawan have been randomly selected through scientific sampling procedure and will be interviewed by Eight (8) hired Statistical Researchers.

In this regard, PSA PALAWAN enjoins sampled households to support the July 2025 Crops Production Survey (CRPS) by providing the required information to authorized PSA interviewers who will visit the sample households.
