On 28 June 2021, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) commenced the Registration for the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys), setting a target of 215,350 registrants aged five years and older. As of the first quarter of 2024, the Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office reported a cumulative total of 195,158 registered individuals, including children under five, which equates to     90.62 percent of the initial target.

By the third quarter of 2024, the total number of registrants for Step 2 in Marinduque rose to 206,315, representing 86.25 percent of the updated target population of 239,207, which now includes children aged one to four.

Boac emerged as the municipality with the highest number of registrants, totaling 52,336 individuals, which represents 91.36 percent of its population target. In contrast, Buenavista recorded the lowest number of registrants, with a total of 21,354, equating to 82 percent of its designated population target.

As of 30 September 2024, the province of Marinduque has successfully completed 206,315 registrations under Step 2 of the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys). This figure represents 86.25 percent of the delegated target population, indicating substantial progress in the registration initiative.

ISSUANCE OF EPHILID


On 03 October 2022, Philsys launched the ePhilID, a proactive strategy of the PSA that will allow more Filipinos to immediately enjoy the benefits of being  PhilSys-registered. By the third quarter of 2024, the Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office has issued a cumulative total of 161,033 ePhilIDs including ePhilIDs of children below 5 years old, which is equivalent to 78.05 percent against the total number of individuals registered in the National ID system.

As of 30 September 2024, the total number of issued ePhilIDs in the province of Marinduque has reached 161,033. Among all municipalities, the highest number of issued ePhilIDs was recorded in the Municipality of Santa Cruz, with a total of 41,377 ePhilIDs, while the Municipality of Buenavista has the lowest number of issued ePhilIDs with the total of 17,070 ePhilIDs. Meanwhile, there are 84 ePhilIDs that were issued to residents of other provinces.

NATIONAL ID DELIVERY UPDATES ACCORDING TO PHILPOST

As of 30 April 2024, PhilPost has successfully delivered a total of 70,624      National IDs across the province of Marinduque. Among the municipalities, Boac recorded the highest issuance, with 23,617 National IDs, whereas Buenavista reported the lowest, with a total of 4,523 National IDs issued.
