PSA-MARINDUQUE PSO introduces PHILSYS Registration for Children 1 – 4 Years Old

Release Date:
Reference Number: 2024PR-03-028

Registration of children aged one to four into PhilSys requires them to be accompanied by
their parents or legal guardians, who must present the child's birth certificate. In cases where
parents are unavailable, guardians must provide supplementary documents, including an
authorization letter, along with their PhilSys ID. It is required that the parents or guardians of
the child are registered with PhilSys and possess a PhilSys Card Number (PCN). This
linkage is essential to connect the data of the child with that of the parents or guardians.

Additionally, only the demographic details and a front-facing photograph of the child are
necessary for registration. However, upon reaching the age of five, children must revisit the
registration center to provide their biometric information.

During a month-long endeavor focused on registering children aged 1 to 4, the PhilSys
Registration Team successfully enrolled 453 children within this age group into PhilSys.
These registrations have notably contributed to the overall count of individuals who have
completed Step 2 Registration, bringing the total to 193,839 individuals as of
11 March 2024.

As PhilSys continues to expand its implementation, parents and guardians interested in
registering their children are encouraged to take the initiative and visit the Fixed Registration
Center or visit our official Facebook page at www.facebook/PSA-Marinduque for PhilSys
