The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) is significantly advancing the provision of PhilSys services to guarantee that every Filipino resident in the province has access to a dependable and universally-acknowledged form of identification.

To broaden the accessibility of the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) registration services the PSA Marinduque PSO embarks another journey of mobile registration services to three distant island barangays of Maniwaya, Mongpong, and Polo, all in the Municipality of Santa Cruz. These drives specifically targeted the registration of children aged 1 to 4 years old.

The mobile registration team faced various challenges, from transporting equipment across rough seas to setting up temporary registration sites in makeshift locations. Despite these hurdles, the Registration Team's perseverance and unwavering commitment to fulfill its mission resulted in the successful inclusion of 104 young registrants from the island barangays.

Aside from the registration services, the PhilSys Team also distributed the ePhilIDs to to the initial registrants in 2022 together with the authentication of ePhilIDs/PhilIDs for DSWD 4Ps beneficiaries. This additional support was crucial in ensuring that those in need have access to the benefits and services they are entitled to.

The outreach effort extended beyond mere registration and distribution services as the Team took the opportunity to engage with the residents, sharing valuable information about the significance of being registered in the PhilSys. It explained the various functionalities of ePhilIDs and PhilIDs, emphasizing how these identification cards can streamline access to government services and facilitate everyday transactions.

Overall, the six-day registration drive culminated in the successful registration of 263 individuals, encompassing children aged 1 to 4 years, 631 authenticated PhilSys IDs for 4Ps beneficiaries and 475 ePhilIDs distributed.

As PhilSys continues to expand its implementation, PSA-Marinduque encourages the remaining unregistered individuals to take advantage of those various saturation drives to avail PhilSys services.
