WHEREAS, the National Convention on Statistics (NCS) is being conducted triennially pursuant to PSA Board Resolution No. 01, Series of 2017 – 073, “Approving the Conduct of the National Convention on Statistics Every Three Years.”;
WHEREAS, the triennial conduct of the NCS aims to provide a forum for exchanging ideas and experiences in the field of statistics and for discussing recent statistical developments and prevailing issues and problems of the Philippine Statistical System (PSS) and elicit the cooperation and support of statisticians and professionals in related fields from the government, academe and private sector towards a more responsive statistical system;
WHEREAS, the 16th NCS will feature plenary sessions, invited/contributed paper sessions, poster sessions, statistical trainings, and the Statistical Information Management Exhibit (SIMEx);
WHEREAS, the 16th NCS will be held from 01 to 03 October 2025;
WHEREAS, the participants of the activities will include statisticians, statistical practitioners, researchers, members of the academe, students, representatives from the media, and other partners from both the government and private sectors;
NOW, THEREFORE, ON A MOTION DULY SECONDED, be it
RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, That RSC MIMAROPA approves and supports the conduct of the 16th National Convention on Statistics.
RESOLVED FINALLY, that all agencies concerned be copied of this resolution for information and support.
